1.10 Celebration Time!

Today was our celebration day for all the work we've been doing over the last nine weeks. Lots of parents and some younger brothers and sisters came to join us which was fantastic.

We had cleared the classroom and laid out all the work over tables around the edge of the room. We started by going through the blog and, as a class, explaining to the parents what we had done during each session. It was really good to remember all the stages we had gone through and we now saw how our ideas had developed over time into the final pieces.

We then got up and everyone showed their drawings and design work to the parents, before then showing them the completed boxes and clay objects inside. The parents all seemed really impressed and it was great to have them be so interested and listening so intently to the class.

We then had cakes and fruit to celebrate and as we ate these we discussed how the wider project will continue; going into other schools; a map being produced; the work being installed along the route; and a final grand celebration later in 2015.
